I joined a prayer and evangelization group last month: PEPs which stands for « Paris en PrièreS » (Paris in prayers). btw, I’m the webmaster of the site :p
Last night, we went to evangelize in the streets of Paris. It was Halloween.
We were almost 30 and we split into smaller groups of 5-6 people after a time of prayers.
We went out with some bags of candies to give with the following verse inside:
« I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do;I will not forsake them. » (Isaiah 42:16b)
From 8pm to 11pm, mw met an American man, a homosexual couple, a group of South Americans, a group of teenagers etc. While 2-3 from us went to speak, the others were praying.
Most of the people on the street were quite open to discuss about Christianity even though it took some time. I must admit that I’m quite surprised to see how open French people are towards christianity. There is definitely a need.
We’ve even been encouraged by a few to continue doing what we do. They told us their « admiration » to us from being so courageous and willing to give our time for strangers.
I also realized my need to be trained regarding evangelization. It’s definitely a big deal and difficult. A brother I met introduced me to FaithBook Paris who gives a training regularly. I’ll share with you what I’ll learn.
Last night was a good experience and as I get more experienced, I’ll feel more comfortable to do that more often.
Thank God for the opportunity He gives me to serve him with these great brothers and sisters.
To be continued…
